**COURTESY POST** Dog is not in rescue’s custody. Qualified applications will be passed on to the owner.
9 yr. old female Sheltie/Shiba mix, no small dogs
This pretty lady is Zoey. Her family believes she is a Sheltie/Shiba mix. She is 9 years old and approximately 30 lbs. She is a sweet, cuddly girl who loves everyone, including children. She is a high energy dog who loves her walks. She will need a home that will continue her daily walks and keep her active.
Zoey is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and is very well behaved. She was never properly socialized and confined to a crate in her first home most of the time. As a result she is reactive to other dogs when out on walks. She seems to be most reactive to smaller dogs and has had repeated issues with the smaller dog in her current home. She does best with other dogs her size or larger. She lived with cats in her first home, but was not allowed to interact with them, so it’s unknown how she would do.
She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and in good health. She seems to have a sensitive tummy and therefore needs a kibble designed for a sensitive stomach.
Please let us know if you are interested in Zoey. COSIR will pass any qualified applicants on to the owner for consideration.
