Kiana
7 yr old female Shiba – no apts/condos, no kids, needs another dog –
$175 adoption fee
This precious girl is Kiana. She is a puppy mill survivor. She has lived her entire life in a cage, forced to breed, and never given the love and respect that she deserves. Thankfully our friends at National Mill Dog Rescue were able to get her out of the mill back in June. Despite having been with them for 8 months, they have not been able to find her the right home. They asked for our help, because they knew getting her our of the shelter environment and into a loving foster home is important to her rehabilitation and well being. We have placed her in a home with lots of experience rehabilitating mill survivors. Her progress is already evident in these photos. She’s gone from a petrified dog in a kennel, to play bows in the backyard! We are thrilled to see her enjoying life outside of a cage for the first time, with a yard to play in, comfy dog beds, loving humans, and a foster brother and sister to pal around with. We will give her the time she needs to adapt to life as a pet and her daily routine. Like all mill survivors, she will have very specific requirement in her forever home, like another well socialized, confident dog. A home with no children. A very calm and quiet atmosphere with not too much activity. And a person who likes to take long walks twice a day. Someone with experience with fearful dogs is preferred. We will be in no rush to adopt her. We will wait for the right, experience adopter.
Kiana’s adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip.
