Oso

* 6 yr old male Shiba, no kids, no big dogs*

Oso is in a no-kill shelter in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. We are full and cannot take him ask quickly as we’d like. The shelter has asked us to send them qualified applicants to adopt directly from them. We are looking for someone that is willing to drive to to Nebraska to adopt him.

Oso is a typical Shiba in terms of aloofness and independence. He picks his person and just wants to be with them. He would be a great “only dog” or could live with a dog his size, or smaller, as long as they ignore him. Another Shiba would be great. He does not want to play, so an older companion might be best. He is fine with cats, he just ignores them. He cannot live with kids.

He need an active home, as exercise will be important to keep him stimulated and reduce his anxiety. He briefly had a home where he walked 4-5 miles a day and loved it! He is an escape artist, so a very securely fenced yard is a must if you have a yard!
