Sansa
Sansa has been adopted! Sansa is a sweet creamie Shiba girl who found herself in rescue due to unfortunate circumstances. She was left home alone for long hours and was eventually surrendered by the only parent she ever knew. As expected, when coming to rescue she had some separation anxiety during what can be a traumatizing transition. What we immediately noticed is that she is one of the sweetest Shibas we have ever met. Cat friendly…check! Dog friendly…check! Kid friendly…check!
Though it took a few weeks until her foster mom could leave her home alone, Sansa blossomed and did wonderful in foster care with her shibling and having free roam of the house. She also loved spending time with her human and wanted to be close to her, even following her around the house. Sansa had 2 meet and greets with her potential adoptive family who have two super-friendly Shiba girls and her humom works from home, which is just what Sansa needed to get her confidence back.
Her adopters live on 1.5 acres and were looking for just the right Shiba to add to their pack. They all hit it off and decided to add her to their family. Like so many Shibas, Sansa has lots of energy and loves her walks, including sniffing the world around her. These positive experiences are helping her learn the world isn’t so scary. She loves being covered up with blankets and loves all toys. Playing fetch is a favorite past time and this silly girl even plays fetch with herself! She’s also got impressive skills we did not initially know about, and that is catching treats. Congratulations to Sansa, Sharon, Bob, Ripley, and Mika on your happy ending!
