ACE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! –

Sammie and Pamela are dog lovers but have “a thing” for Shibas. In 2022, they lost their Shiba named Bishop, who they’d raised from a pup. They were devastated and figured when their hearts healed, they’d adopt a Shiba puppy. But when they started looking at dogs available for adoption, they realized there are so many adult dogs out there that need a good home, who get passed up because everyone wants a puppy. They wanted to make a difference in the life of a deserving dog who’d been a victim of bad circumstances, so the submitted an application. We’d talked to them about a few dogs, but when they saw Ace, they were intrigued. He looks EXACTLY like Bishop!

The meet and greet went fantastic and there was no doubt that Ace would be happy and thrive there, so we started the adoption trial and scheduled a much needed dental for him. Every time we checked in, Sammie and Pamela had no complaints of problem behaviors. They reported that Ace is a total love bug; likes to cuddle on the couch and sleep in the bed with them. He loves his 2 walks a day and playing fetch. When our volunteer went to finalize the adoption, they were enthusiastically greeted by a very happy Ace, who was smart enough to know she’d be armed with treats, so he demanded some! It was obvious to her that Ace is loved and adored and that the feeling is mutual. Congrats to Sammie, Pamela, and Ace!
