Apollo, now Dashi
Apollo, now called Dashi, has been adopted! 4 year old Dashi’s humans could no longer care for him. A family friend took him in, and contacted us knowing that we would find him a great home. Dashi was going to be an easy dog to place: He’s sweet, social, handsome, and quite the charmer. Sadly, he suffered abuse by a large man in his past, so placing him in a home with a man would be our challenge. Any men would need to be smaller in stature and have the right energy.
Tanya learned what it means to be a Shiba mom when she adopted Remy, a Shiba/Golden mix, about 14 years ago. With Remy getting older, Tanya and husband Thomas, realized they can’t imagine life without some Shiba sass to keep them on their toes, and offer companionship to their 3 yr old gentle giant; a Loenberger named Kyr. When they saw Dashi’s post, something told them that he was the one!
Dashi’s transition to his new home went better than expected. Surprisingly, he took to Thomas right away, proving he was exactly the kind and gentle soul we were looking for to help Dashi heal from old traumas. Remy’s calm sweet demeanor was a comfort, while having Kyr as a walking buddy and playmate helped Dashi adjust to his new world. They are all great friends and make for an adorable variety pack of pups of all shapes and sizes! Add two devoted and loving parents, and you have one big beautiful family. Congrats to Tanya, Thomas, Remy, Kyr, and Dashi!
