Baylie, now Azami

Azami (formerly Baylie) has been adopted!! This very cute, sweet, active 8 y/o Shiba came to rescue through no fault of her own. She was an anxious girl living in a home with children that made her anxiety worse and appeared to be neglected.

She was aloof and took time to warm up to people, though she immediately took treats from our volunteer, proving the power of treats with Shiba Inus! She needed a calm, quiet environment and found that with her foster-to-adopt home. During her first meet and greet, she liked her dad from the get-go, following him around, jumping up on the couch by him and even sleeping on his bed that very night.

Though we initially thought Azami would enjoy being an only dog and the center of her human’s attention, she did well with the adopter’s Shiba, Kitsune, and now has a brofur! She enjoys daily walks and her quiet calm environment, and her anxiety has greatly improved. We are thrilled that Azami continues to thrive in her environment and has found her forever home.
