9 yr female Shiba Inu – NO DOGS – NO KIDS
Cinna has lived her entire life with one family. She has never liked other dogs and is not getting along with the other dog in the home. Their fights have gotten progressively worse with the added stress of a new baby in the home. Her family has decided that it is in the best interest of the dogs and the baby to re-home Cinna.
Cinna is a sweet girl, who loves spending time with her humans. She is fearful of children and other dogs, and needs a home where neither are present or planned for. She is used to having people home most of the time and going on daily walks for about an hour. She can pass other dogs and children on her walks as long as they are at a safe distance. She will show aggression towards any dogs or kids that get too close or try to interact with her. She would love to live somewhere where there is plenty of room to avoid them on her walks.
Cinna is house trained, and crate trained. She has not used the crate in a long time, but she is a very good girl and doesn’t need it. She is a resource guarder, but only with other dogs, so it should not be an issue in a home where she is an only dog. She has not been tested with cats.
Cinna has been placed in a loving foster home carefully selected from our waitlist. We are letting her settle in and get comfortable so we can get to know her a little better. Assuming all goes well, the foster plans to adopt her after completing a trial period. Stay tuned for an adoption announcement!
