Doechii Bear

8 month old female Shiba/Pomsky mix – No kids

Doechii Bear is a Shiba/Pomsky mix, and weighs about 20 lbs. She was purchased from a breeder by a first-time dog owner, who underestimated the attention and stability this breed requires. We are looking for an foster/adopter so that we can bring Doechii Bear into rescue ASAP. Applicants should be experienced with the breed, socializing a puppy, and preferably resource guarding.

Doechii Bear is a sweet girl with endless puppy energy! She needs an active home that can provide the exercise and stimulation she needs. She loves to go for walks and car rides. She is super smart and responsive to training. She is house trained and loves her crate.

Doechii Bear has not been properly socialized to humans and therefore is fearful and reactive when meeting new poeople. She will need a human with a low-key home, social life, and neighborhood, so that she is not forced into too many social interactions too quickly. A home with children would be too stressfull for Doechii Bear at this time.

Doechii Bear is a true to her breeding in that she is good with other dogs that greet properly and are respectful of her space. She seems to do best with dogs bigger than her and she may do well in a home with another well socialized mature dog to show her the ropes. She has not been tested with cats.

We cannot bring Doechii Bear into rescue until we find the right foster, or foster-to-adopt, home. If you are interested, please submit a foster or adoption application ASAP! Doechii Bear’s adoption fee will be $400, and includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm test & initial prevention, microchip, and a training class or initial private session with a COSIR approved trainer.
