Frankie
Frankie has been adopted! Frankie is an approximately 2 yr old. At 45 lbs, he’s either another poorly bred Shiba, or a mix of some kind. He was adopted from a shelter, but it was immediately clear that the resident Husky in his new home was not happy about it, and it would be safer for Frankie to be rehomed. We are so happy his people contacted us immediately. Had they let it go on for too long, Frankie could have grown to really fear other dogs. We were able take him very quickly in part because we had a great applicant, like Marla, on our adoption waitlist who was ready to help!
Marla lost 2 Jindo mixes in the last year, leaving Daisy an only dog and no one to play with. Daisy may have some primitive breed in her as well; she was described as “selective” about the dogs she likes and only plays with “approved” friends. 😉 With Marla’s understanding and appreciation for spitz breeds and a vacancy in her home and heart, it seemed appropriate to schedule a meet and greet.
The meet went well and we were able to leave Frankie there. He was now in rescue and wouldn’t have to spend another night in a stressful environment, but he was pretty confused and scared. Daisy was very sweet; she was already showing him the ropes by the time we left.
Frankie settled in quickly and turned out to be a real love bug. Lucky Marla! 🙂 He loves belly rubs and following Marla around. He and Daisy are best buds and we have no doubt, Frankie is finally home for good. Congrats to Marla, Daisy, and Frankie. What an adorable family!
