Hunter

Hunter is a 9 yr old male Shiba / Chihuahua mix. He was dumped in the night deposit at a shelter, very much in need of veterinary care. He was filthy, had matted up fur, a lesion on his side, and intermittent lameness. The shelter thought it best to get him into a rescue where he was sure to get the care he needed, and an experienced home with no kids, that could handle a resource guarder.

We have placed Hunter in a foster-to-adopt home selected from our adoption waitlist. He has been to the vet, who declared his lesion to be on the mend, and the lameness attributable to luxating patella in both knees. He got a much needed bath and smells much better now. We are letting him settle in and get comfortable in his new home. He is in need of a dental, but once he has recovered from that, we plan to finalize his adoption. Stay tuned!
