Jasper
1 yr. old male Shiba mix, needs active home, no apts/condos, $350 adoption fee
Jasper is a happy, wiggly, outgoing boy who loves everyone. Like most puppies, he’s very high energy and requires a lot of attention! He will need a home that will commit to lots of play, exercise, and training for him. After an active, stimulating day, he’s content lie down and chill out with his family. Jasper loves meeting new people, including children, but gets overly excited. He does eventually calm down, but he will need someone willing to work with him on this.
Jasper is potty trained and is learning to love his crate. He loves to learn and his foster mom has taught him basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘shake’, and ‘roll over’. He will, however, need someone who has the time and patience to devote to additional training, including impulse control. He walks well on leash, but, can get overly excited and sometimes barks at strangers and dogs for attention.
The best environment for Jasper would be a house, or quiet townhome, as he tends to bark reactively. He’d love to have a yard to romp around in, but will need a 6 ft. fence. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to play, but would be a bit too much for a calmer, or older dog who might be intolerant of his rambunctiousness. He is okay with cats, but could be overbearing at times for a less tolerant cat.
Jasper’s adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, microchip, and an approved training course.
