Kirin
9 yr old blind male Shiba, no dogs, no small children:
Foster/Adopter needed ASAP!!!
Kirin needs a home with no other dogs, and no small children, cats are ok. He is a resource guarder, and would do best in a home experienced with this, but is fine as long as proper feeding protocols are followed. He does not enjoy meeting other dogs, but loves his walks, and can pass by other dogs with no issue. He has lived with cats and really likes them. He is house trained, and was crate trained when young, but has not used it in a long time.
Kirin was diagnosed with glaucoma 4 years ago, and had both eyes removed. He gets along fine despite his blindness, but a home with no stairs would be ideal for him. He is accustomed to, and enjoys having a back yard to explore, but it’s not required. He loves being with his people and like to play and do tricks. He is a great dog and deserves an equally great home where he can be free of the stress of other dogs and kids.
We need to find a suitable foster, or foster-to adopt, home in order to bring Kirin into rescue. He is currently in WA state, so WA and CA adopters are encouraged to apply. If you are currently a “no dog, no-kids” home, and are interested in helping Kirin, please fill out a foster or adoption application today, or contact us with any questions!
