**FOSTER PLANS TO ADOPT HIM** Not taking applications for Leon**

Leon is a handsome boy and quite the charmer. Although his family loved him dearly, his habitual bolting and escaping forced them to surrender him to rescue, as they could not keep him safe. Leon is good with other dogs and loves playing with, and chasing his new 4-legged foster sisters around the yard. He is the usual aloof Shiba when meeting new people, but has bonded very quickly with his foster family. He is great with kids and very sweet with his new human foster sister.  He will bark at, and chase cats, but won’t hurt them. He is house trained, walks well on leash, and is well behaved. He is fairly high energy so needs an active family that will get him out for his daily walks. He is not a huge fan of the crate, and would rather sleep in bed with his humans. He needs a very securely fenced in yard and should not have access to the outside when nobody able to supervise. We know very little about his past, or even his true age, but estimate that he is about 6 yrs old and has had at least 3 homes in that time.  He has at least one fractured tooth that is causing him pain and needs to be extracted.  We have him scheduled for dental surgery ASAP. Leon has been placed in a home carefully selected from our waitlist.  They plan to adopt him after a trial period.
