Meeko & Ruger

Meeko & Ruger (renamed Riku & Shiro) have been adopted! 5 yr old Riku and 3 yr old Shiro were living in a tiny space with three other dogs, two of which were puppies. Riku, was not getting along with any of them, except his buddy Shiro. When his family decided to surrender Riku, it meant letting Shiro go too. They are deeply bonded, and Shiro is dependent on his big brother to feel safe and confident. Finding a home for a bonded pair is never easy, but we are always up for the challenge!

Jasmine and Sean made it easy for us this time. They had fostered and adopted from COSIR before, but it had been years since we’d been in touch. As fate would have it, they had just submitted an application as our search for a home for this handsome pair began. The dog they applied for was not the right fit, but we felt they could be perfect for this adorable duo.

Riku & Shiro were remarkably comfortable with Jasmine and Sean, and in their home right away. They relish having their own space with no puppies, and the undivided attention of their humans. They proved to be great companions on hikes and adventures, but also excel at lounging around too. There was no doubt this was meant to be their forever home. Now, finally, after 8 long months of tests and trials to figure out their food allergies, we are excited to make it official! Congrats to Jasmine, Sean, Riku, and Shiro!
