Nikko

7 yr old male Shiba, no dogs:

This good looking boy is Nikko. He has already had 2 homes in his 7 years. He is a very anxious dog; more so than your average Shiba, and suffers from separation anxiety specifically. He needed a home where he can be an only dog, and is can provide a stable and calm environment, where his people are home more than most. He is under socialized and his limited exposure to other dogs has resulted in negative experiences. Needless to say, he is fearful around other dogs. He is house trained and crate trained. He has not been tested with kids or cats. He has resource guarding tendencies, but they are easily managed too.

Nikko has been placed in a foster home carefully selected from our adoption wailtlist. They have the time, experience, and dedication to work on reducing his anxiety overall. They plan to adopt Nikko after a trial period, so we are not taking applications for him. Stay tuned for an adoption announcement.
