Raja
2 yr old female Shiba:
Raja needs a quiet, calm, stable home with no kids. Raja is a sweet beautiful Shiba, but sadly she is a fearful and anxious girl. She has possibly experienced too much change in her short life, causing her to act out. Although Raja sometimes enjoys meeting and playing with other dogs, she is not doing well living with the senior Shiba in her home. She would do well as an only dog, but could potentially live with an adult or middle aged dog (2 – 10 yr) that is not a resource guarder. She has not been tested with cats, but has a strong prey drive.
The addition of children in the home is adding to her stress, exacerbating her tendency to resource guard, and to fear bark. Raja needs an anxiety-free home where she feels safe, and can build her confidence. In the absence of dogs and kids to trigger her, we anticipate she will be a different dog.
Raja is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. She is accustomed to living in a home with a yard to play in. She loves snow, going for walks, care rides, and playing tug-o-war.
Raja has been placed in a foster-to-adopt home carefully selected from our adoption waitlist. If you are interested in being added to our waitlist, please fill out our online adoption application.
