Roxy
6 yr. old female Shiba
Roxy is a very mellow, quiet, and sweet little girl. She gets along well with other dogs, especially bigger dogs. She seems to like meeting new people and is good with kids. She is house trained and walks well on leash. She is not crate trained, but is a very well behaved girl. She is a bolter, so proper precautions must be taken before opening any doors. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about her life so far, but we get the impression she has been passed around a lot. She was just surrendered by her family because they moved somewhere dogs are not allowed. They got her off of Craigslist 2 years ago and were not given any history, but were told she was 4 years old at the time. So this poor girl has lost her family at least twice in her short life. She was surprisingly calm, and not nervous or scared at all, and very docile. We immediately took her to the vet to confirm that she is spayed and got her vaccinated and started on Heartworm prevention. The vets report that she is in excellent health, aside from a luxating patella. She has been placed in a foster home carefully selected from our waiting list with the intention that they will adopt her after a trial period. She is adjusting quickly to her new home, is enjoying her big backyard, and is getting long great with the other dogs. We are thrilled to have placed her in such a loving home. It’s time for Roxy to finally have a family that is fully committed to her and is truly her forever home!
