Sakura

IN FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME NOW: 4 yr old female Shiba
The only family Sakura has ever known is no longer able to give her the attention she needs. She is a darling little Shiba with such a great disposition, but has had quite a bit of change in her short life. As a result she is an anxious and timid girl who will need a slow transition. She needs time to get to know and trust new people, but once she does she is outgoing and friendly.
Sakura loves other dogs and cats, and would do best in a home with a buddy dog, or cat, to make her feel more at ease. Once she is bonded with her human, she is a lover. A home where people are home more than average, and there is no shortage attention from her humans would be best.
Sakura is young and full of energy! She would prefer that the other dog(s) or cat(s) in her new home are willing to run around and play with her and a yard big enough to do “zoomies” in. Humans who will take her out for long walks and adventures every day are important to her too.
Sakura is house trained and loves her crate. She has been tolerant of kids as young as 7 in her home temporarily, but she would likely be too anxious with kids in her home full-time. She loves toys, her dog bed, lounging on the couch, and sleeping in bed with her humans.
We have identified applicants on our wishlist that we believe would be a great fit for Sakura. We will begin scheduling meet and greets with them once we’ve had a chance to visit with her in her current home at least one more time to build trust with her. She is a girl that needs to take it slow.
Sakura’s adoption fee will be $275 and includes her spay, vaccinations, negative heartworm test plus initial prevention, microchip, and an initial training class or private session with a COSIR approved trainer.
