Sakura
Sakura has been adopted!
Sakura is a 4 y/o red female that was surrendered to COSIR through no fault of her own. Her humom developed such severe allergies while pregnant that Sakura had to be segregated alone while her hudad worked 10-hour days. She loved sleeping with her mom and hanging out on the couch with her, so she was miserable being kept away from her.
Sakura’s fosters had recently lost their male Shiba that was the love of their life. Though they were set on another male, they agreed to meet Sakura. They had a 1 y/o female Shiba and an 8 y/o Lab. Though Sakura was fearful of strangers, the first meet and greet was a tail up meet for Sakura and not only did she do well with the “pesky” Shiaba puppy, she also seemed very fond of hudad Beau. They agreed to do a foster to adopt trial.
Shortly after Sakura came to her foster home, they noticed she was lifting her rear left leg a lot. COSIR found out she had a hairline fracture of the leg when she was 10 weeks old, and she was subsequently diagnosed with a Grade 3-4 patellar luxation in her left knee. Sakura sailed through the surgery COSIR was able to provide. Her humom Jenn was able to stay home with Sakura during her rehabilitation and she healed very quickly. She gets lots of activity in her new home and loves her fur sisters. Congratulations to Sakura and her forever family!
