5 yr old male Shiba/Jindo mix – No apts/condos, No kids –

Stormy was surrendered to a shelter by his family because he was not adjusting well to kids in the home, and moving from a home with a yard, into an apartment. He appears to have some skin issues that may be related to food allergies, an autoimmune disease, or both. Now that he is in rescue, he will see a dermatologist for a diagnosis and prognosis with a treatment plan, before adopting him out.

His owner reported he was reactive to other dogs on leash, however, he tested well with other dogs in the shelter. He was underweight at 34 lbs when we got him, but is already gaining weight in his foster home. He will likely end up around 40 lbs. His size and loosely curled tail lead us to believe he may be mixed with a Jindo. (a Korean breed; a kin to the Shiba).

We have placed him in an experienced foster home with no children, and a securely fenced yard. He is doing very well there. He reportedly, loves to play and is a cuddler! We will update his post, and begin looking at our waitlist applicants for a forever home for him, once we better understand his skin issues. Stay tuned!!
