Sumo
UPDATE: ADOPTED! –
6 yr old male Shiba – NO DOGS-NO CATS-NO SMALL CHILDREN-NO APTS/CONDOS :
Sumo is independent, but affectionate and attentive to his humans. He has a huge personality and will let you know what’s on his mind; he’s a “talker”. He is an early to rise, early to bed, kind of guy. In between he is good at sunbathing and napping in his favorite chair, but will insist on a walk every day; even if it’s snowing.
He is not a fan of other dogs, so needs to be the only dog in his home. He is good on leash, and can pass other dogs without reacting, but doesn’t want to say ‘hi’. He cannot be trusted with cats.
He was probably given too much people food in the past. It’s a bit too precious to him and he has a tendency to guard it. This has proven to make it unsafe for him to live with small children. He also needs to lose a couple pounds.
Sumo has always had a home with a yard, and had shown us he would likely not adjust to apartment life, so we will hold out for a yard for him. He is house trained and crate trained.
