Zea
4 y/o female, needs to be the only dog, in an active home, $275 adoption fee
Zea or “ZeeZee” is super sweet and affectionate, good with people, and just wants to be the center of attention at all times! She loves belly rubs, burrowing in her blankets, cuddles on the couch, and lounging by the back door to watch the world go by.
Her foster parents have helped her to loose a few pounds, but she will need to keep working on it. Her adopters will need to stick to a healthy, portion-controlled diet as well as provide lots of fun and exercise. Zea is a really energetic girl who loves to play chase and with her toys and will follow you around constantly. She’s known to do a little Shiba “singing” and hows when she’s wound up and ready to play!
Zea displays resource guarding with dog food, people food, and her person, so she should be the only dog in the home. Zea has done well meeting children, but if adopters have kids, they should be old enough to follow rules. She will need an experienced adopter only if there are kids or other dogs in the home.
Zea is potty-trained and crate-trained. She likes her crate and is very quiet in it. She loves to go on (and needs) long walks. She might bark and snarl at other dogs you meet along the way, so her fosters always keep enough distance from other dogs while passing.
Zea suffers from severe environmental allergies. We the help of a veterinary specialist we’ve identified what she is allergic to and she now takes a daily medication to prevent her body from having such a severe response. She will need to be on it for the rest of her life.
Zea’s adoption fee is $275 and includes her spay, vaccinations, de-worming, microchip, heart worm test, allergy diagnosis, and a professional training course.
